Cookie Magic at Three Dog Bakery

17 May

How can I describe how satisfying it was to enjoy a week away from the daily grind?  I suppose a good word would be reinvigorating.

A reinvigorating week that included a trip to Three Dog Bakery located in Pasadena!

I ran into some trouble finding the little shop dedicated to wholesome baked goods for our four-legged friends because it was situated in an alley practically hidden from view on Colorado Boulevard. Granted, the heavy traffic didn’t help either, but after a few U-turns and safely securing a parking spot, we were in!

Admittedly, the shop was smaller than I expected and the selection behind the counter was surprisingly sparse compared to the treats listed on their website, but the bakery wasn’t limited to just edible goodies. Leash snap during your stroll down Colorado Boulevard? Pick one up here!

I managed to shield myself from the call of the leashes, collars and rawhides, and emerged from the bakery with three “peanut mutter” cookies that Oscar thoroughly relished.

Ahhhh – a week off sounds wonderful. It sounds like you enjoyed it. 😀

Great photos of the sweet treat. I love that you used a quarter in your photo – it’s always nice to know the size of dog treats.

Obviously, Oscar hated the Peanut Mutter. 😉

He hated the cookies so much he devoured them so I couldn’t put them away and try to trick him into eating them. 😉

Glad to hear that the week off has left you feeling refreshed, recharged, and reinvigorated. I’m sure Oscar also appreciated that you could spend some extra quality time with him.

The Peanut Mutter cookies look just the right size for an afternoon tea time break. Oscar is obviously enjoying his treat to bits!

Oscar had a blast, but the week also included a trip to the vet for a wellness exam—He didn’t really appreciate that. 😛

    Oscar,

You are sooooo lucky having a bakery shop for Doggy’s by you, I’ve never even seen one, I know I would be running there every day and dragging Mum if we did have one though…… 🙂

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

Oscar definitely seems to be enjoying his treats. 🙂

I used to love buying treats at dog bakeries for Bailey however ever since we have been limiting his diet ingredients because of his allergies and staying away from any sort of grain, it makes shopping at dog bakeries pretty much impossible.

Oscar does look like he is just loving those treats … and they look good enough for us humans to eat!
